For best appearance, the project should be stitched out at 14 spi. The outermost line is a guide for trimming out the finished piece, and for placing the binding. In the second picture, Jan Trump (Quilt Me A Quilt) added a couple of borders (designed by Ann Bright) and painted the project with Inktense pencils for fabric.
