Save yourself the headache of a ruler with our Crosshatch Edge-to-Edge! With the holiday rush now is the time to get ahead, and this lightning fast edge-to-edge will help you get things done!

Wide patterns like this one require a slightly different setup depending on your machine — here’s how to get started:

IntelliQuilter — This is one of those patterns that cannot be set up as a panto. It is 98” wide which gives you the clue. This blog post explains how to set up this kind of pattern — I use a different pattern in that post, but the method will be the same. *Thank you to Helen Baczynski for sharing this information!

HandiQuilter — Our friend MK has a resource for HandiQuilters who would like to use this pattern: view resource at mkquilts.com.

Statler — Only one repeat is needed for the width of the quilt because these patterns are 98 inches wide. Focus on the number of repeats for the length of the quilt. These patterns can also be used on quilts narrower than 98 inches — use one repeat for the width and apply a Fill or Trim to remove the excess at the edges. For crosshatch-specific tips on lining up the pattern, Lining Up Crosshatching is a great resource.

Grace Q’nique with QCT — Use the pattern in basic mode; do not use in power pantograph mode.

Innova — Auto E2E mode won’t work — manual placement is required. Place the design on screen, then copy and paste each row into position. To handle edges, use a masking area or Auto Pilot’s boundary feature (set four points, then choose Fit or Maintain Ratio) to clip any excess. You can also link two repeats together once placed.
