A Quilt From Rett Lewandowski's Studio - Pieced Wallhanging

Our friend Rett sent us these pictures, and we are so pleased to be able to share! A friend made this quilt using the "County Fair" block, available free online ( http://quilttherapy.com/?p=10554).

Rett told us that she used two layers of Hobbs Heirloom 80/20. She loves to see full, fluffy, plump feathers!!! She wanted to do feathers in the solid cream blocks as well as a feathered wreath in the four red corners. Rett used our Square Feather Edge-to-Edge in the cream block, but she didn't tie off the beginning or the end, and she removed the few connecting stitches to make it work as a block design.

Rett used our Four Patch Feather Block in the pieced blocks. These blocks took the longest, as each of the eight points were positioned manually, again, and again, and AGAIN by dropping the needle exactly where she wanted it to hit. She used the grab handles on the computer to position the design, until she was sure they would hit in the right spot. It was time consuming, but worth it!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work with us! We love to see your projects and the creative ways you use our patterns.
