A Quilt From Jackie MacMullen's Studio - Double Irish Chain

A Quilt From Jackie MacMullen's Studio - Double Irish Chain

Posted by Christy Dillon on 14th Jun 2016

Jackie requested that we create this Double Irish Chain pattern for her own personal quilt. She requested something with cross-hatching, and we were happy to oblige! Our latest block has the appeal of traditional feathers, floral accents for variety, and an eye-catching center cross-hatch, softened with a round shape.

We think Jackie's quilt looks stunning. Starting with the the new Double Irish Chain block, Jackie filled in-between with our Jasper Sashing (slightly modified). She finished the edges with our Simple Piano Key Border, and Double Swirl Sashing (free on the HQ Pro Stitcher).

Jackie works from her home, and has been making quilts since 2004. She has been using a HandiQuilter Pro-Stitcher for 1.5 years, enjoys traditional quilts, and LOVES feathers and feathers with cross hatch. We really appreciate her sharing her work with us today!

Some of our long time customers might also recognize one of our very first 12 days of Christmas patterns! It's currently not on the website, but we should have it back up in a few weeks. And in fact, it was lost because one of OUR computers crashed - it happens to everyone and is part of the reason we are always willing to help you recover your patterns from us!
